Global fish consumption is steadily rising, at an annual growth rate of 7% over the past decade. According to FAO data for 2018, fish consumption per capita has risen steadily and sharply in the past six decades, from approximately 10 kg per capital in the 1960s to over 20 kg per capita in 2016. Per capita consumption projected to continue growing and the cumulative impact on global fish consumption, if global population growth and difficulties in the supply of alternative animal protein is also taken into account, is likely to drive fish consumption even more strongly. The FAO study found that fish are the most common commodity in the global food market, with a turnover of $143 billion in 2016. Dunia Green Solutions Limited with L4 Ventures Limited a group of marine biologists, sea- experts and businesswomen & men fully committed to Environmental, Social and Governance “ESG”, we undertake to cooperate in the deploying an innovative system – semi-submersible platform integrated with cages and fish farming control tools in the open deep-sea (+12 nautical miles of the Indian Ocean within the sea territory of  The United Republic of Tanzania.

Mariculture is the farming of marine organisms for food and other products such as pharmaceuticals, food additives, jewelry (e.g., cultured pearls), nutraceuticals, and cosmetics, either in the natural marine environment, or in land- or sea-based enclosures, such as cages, ponds, or raceways. It is and will increasingly become an important producer of aquatic food in coastal areas, as well as a source of employment and income for many coastal communities. Well-planned and -managed mariculture can also contribute positively to coastal environmental integrity.
