The project is based on a Semi-Submersible platform that can withstand extreme ocean conditions and ensure its performance, sustainability and survivability. This will enable to operate in the open sea while achieving the following benefits:
- Fish farming in their natural environment with advantages of good quality, variety of species, fast growth, etc.
- The farming will exploit the open sea unused natural resources and areas, thus allowing fast expansion and scalability.
- The technology will causing minor environmental and ecological intervention.
- Increasing food security on a large global scale of high quality protein sorce.
There is an evolving gap between the supply and the demand for fish and seafood products. On one hand, the demand is consistently growing, driven by various vectors, such as population expansion, rise of purchasing power, maturing tastes, latest trends and others.
On the other hand, striving to meet the rapidly growing demand, the existing inefficient supply methods are facing numerous challenges: ecological barriers, climate changes, gas &oil and other industrial pollutions and the increasing input costs, resulting in lesser capacity and constant pressure on the supply.
The shortage of the supplies results in higher prices for mariculture products and higher incentives for developing innovative and efficient solutions for the fishing industry. Per capita fish consumption is expected to continue to increase on all continents, except Africa, with the decline concentrated in Sub-Saharan Africa (-0.7% p.a. over the next decade), due to the population increasing more than supply. This raises potential nutritional concerns in the region, as fish represents an important source of animal proteins.

The platform will be manned and operated 24/7 and will enable full control and supervision over the entire growth process.
